Stephen will be 1 year old

Stephen will be 1 year old on September 13 and really, time is flying. Yesterday, he was on the combi and started to play with his hands then we changed the combi to chair and he ate with us. It has been difficult with congee but he now eats well what we provide. Now and already yesterday, he talked and walked. I suppose that's the reasons why those small children are magics. His face has changed and he is no longer a baby.

It took time before I realized that Stephen had stolen part of my freedom. I have always been with him watching out every single of his steps. A young child is really time consuming and I feel that I don't have enough time for myself moreover, my free will has been suspended to Stephen sleeping time and feeding. I was a kind of sauvage who like liberty more than any others things and I found myself carrying a baby for a year.

No pain, no gain and we have won something precious, a bigger family. Stephen came in between Vic and me. We take care of him, talk about him, talk to him, play together and eat together. He became the main subject of discussion at home. It's just the beginning but I can already feel what will be our family life for the next 20 years. Family values are very good.

Stephen - 11 months

Stephen went to a swimming pool for the first time and he really enjoyed it. He is now dancing with us at home and moves his body when we simulate a dance. He really appreciated a chocolate ice cream ! He moved a lot saying mam mam, mam mam after the first bite. It's the only time he did it. He doesn't walk yet but it will come soon. He keeps his balance and he is still a little bite afraid to move foreward. Almost everything attract his attention.

Stephen talks

Stephen had his first word today while eating and it was Mam Mam. I am waiting for Papa and try to teach him. As I once said, there is nothing more beautiful than language.

Stephenzilla

Stephen now becomes Stephenzilla ! We put the laundry bin in front of the bathroom door but he moves it to go inside. The drawers are empty whenever he opens one. He starts to throw things in order for me to pick them up again and again. He becomes more and more clever and I am excited as he will soon start to talk and walk.

Stephen and Daddy

Since few months, we do everything together. Do you know Stephen that you took a big part of my freedom ? I suddenly realized this few days ago. Now, it's a family time and whatever I do, you are around. We go to see the elderly downstairs together, we go to fairwood restaurant for a coffee. I take care of you at home. We have brunches with mum the week ends. It's like a routine.

Stephen stands 2

Stephen now stands without holding anything. I couldn't take a photo as he wants to catch the camera when I take it. I am quite excited as he will soon be able to walk and it will be a new step in Stephen progresses.

Stephen playground

Stephen has a playground made with a mattress but he prefers crawling in the apartment. He also does his nap on the mattress. Stephen seems to sleep a little bit more during the day. Kitchen and bathroom doors are kept close.

Stephen - 10 months

Stephen is crawling more and more. He always moves in the apartment and it's now a full time job to watch out. He never sleeps before 12:00 PM which is not that good. I find him very awake.

Stephen crawls

Stephen is now crawling everywhere in the apartment and I need to always keep one eye on him. In France, we use to say that he walks with four legs. He still tries to touch everything and can take durty or dangerous things. He wants to empty the garbage can and drawers and he eats our shoes. More he explores and more he is happy. Sometime, Stephen wants to catch the computer cables and I say "No". He cries but he doesn't touch them. Sometime Stephen falls the head first on the floor and cries as it's painful. We hear the sound "Boouumm".
